A figure with both arms lifted, opening the upper silhouette into a shallow arc. The gesture frames well on a shorter chain, where the raised arms sit near the base of the throat.

String method 1. Take a piece of string, a ribbon or a soft tape measure.

2. Wrap it around your neck and let it fall to the point where you want the pendant to sit.

3. Mark that spot, lay the string flat against a ruler, and measure it in centimetres. That is your chain length.
