An oval signet with its face recessed and pierced with four holes, then stitched through with green thread in a single cross. The most ordinary fastening in the world, rendered in silver and set where a crest would usually sit.
The shoulders taper smoothly into the band so the ring reads as one continuous volume. The raised bezel holds the thread below the surface of the silver, out of the way of everyday wear.

Precious metals: solid 925 sterling silver, or 14k gold vermeil — a thick layer of 14k yellow gold bonded to solid sterling silver. Never plated brass.
