Star setting is the oldest trick for making a small stone carry: the engraved rays throw light the stone alone could not. The band is broad and flat enough to hold the whole row without crowding it, and left polished so the engraving is the only texture on the piece.

- Material: 925 Sterling Silver
Precious metals: solid 925 sterling silver, or 14k gold vermeil — a thick layer of 14k yellow gold bonded to solid sterling silver. Never plated brass.
